DARE — Deccan Assists Rotary Endeavours

Strong Institutions Empowering Local Leadership

Enabling reach to communities everywhere. Not every deserving community has access to resources — DARE helps change that.

DARE project inauguration with a partner club

DARE is a collaborative model through which the Rotary Club of Hyderabad Deccan supports smaller rural and suburban Rotary clubs with funding, execution expertise and governance support. Together, these partnerships deliver water access, healthcare, education and livelihood solutions across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

DARE proves that when strong institutions empower local leadership, impact reaches further.

Running since the early 2000s

How it works

RCHD brings financial resources, execution support and governance guidance. The partner club brings local relationships, community knowledge and accountability. Together, they deliver impact that neither could achieve alone.

  • Focus areas: Healthcare · Water & Sanitation · Education · Economic Empowerment · Infrastructure
  • Frequency: at least one project per month, with a different partner club each time
  • Reach: 40+ partner clubs across Telangana & Andhra Pradesh

What makes DARE different

DARE is not a top-down program. It is a collaborative model built on a grassroots philosophy — the conviction that the most durable change is the change a community itself drives, with the support of partners who genuinely care.

Sample projects

  • Construction of water-access steps at a village water body — benefiting 1,000 villagers
  • Distribution of push carts enabling economic independence for street vendors
